Each year, SAP presents the SAP Quality Awards for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to recognize customers who have achieved excellence in planning and executing their SAP projects and programs, delivering significant value to their organizations.

“The SAP Quality Awards celebrate customer projects that show the highest quality in project management and execution, as well as in the speed of delivering business benefits,” said Pfungwa Serima, CEO of SAP Africa. “These winning stories clearly show that when quality principles are placed at the core of technology implementations, SAP innovation is helping organisations redefine their future.” Serima added: “SAP’s success will always be linked to the success of its customers. The company’s mission remains to make businesses become best-run businesses.

Each winning organisation shows that the quality processes they put in place during planning and implementation phases were fundamental to their overall success, resulting in significant business transformation.

The winners of the SAP Quality Awards for Africa were announced at Saphila’s Gala Dinner (Sun City), on the 30th October 2012 where local South African NGO, The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, walked away with the bronze award for the small business category (SAP Business One).

“One of the things we needed to bring to the foundation to ensure that the implementation of the financial solution for us would work was a partner that would understand the requirements of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation, and translate those requirements into functionality,” says Jill Thorne, General Manager of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation. “It was in developing our  NGO-specific solution with Bluekey Software Solutions that I began to trust that SAP Business One would be able to provide the functionality we required to focus on our core business of saving lives.”
